Ep 5. Half-Second Badyguard

Half-Second Bodyguard is the fifth episode of the first season of the anime, Eyeshield 21. The episode begins with the Deimon Devil Bats preparing for their game against the Ojo White Knights, one of the strongest teams in the tournament. He instructs Sena to run as fast as he can towards the end zone, and then pass the ball to Monta, their fastest receiver. The plan works, and the Devil Bats score their first touchdown.

The Ojo White Knights quickly catch up, and the score becomes tied. In the final minutes of the game, the Knights are on the verge of scoring a touchdown and winning the game. Sena, who is playing as a safety, is the only one standing in their way. He manages to catch up to the Knight's running back, but realizes that he is too weak to stop him.

Just as the running back is about to score, Shin appears and tackles him at the last second, saving the game for the Devil Bats. Shin explains that he could not bear to see Sena lose, and that he will continue to watch Sena's games.

The episode ends with the Devil Bats celebrating their victory, and Sena realizing that he has made a new ally in the form of Shin.
