Ep 4. Pope Breaks Bad

Tom Mason and the 2nd Mass discover that Pope has gone rogue and stolen a cache of weapons from Camp Katie. Tom orders Weaver to go after Pope and retrieve the weapons before they end up in the hands of the Espheni. Meanwhile, Pope sets up shop in an abandoned diner and begins recruiting a group of outlaws to take on the Espheni. The group includes a woman named Sara, who proves to be a skilled fighter. As Pope's group grows, tensions rise between the outlaws and the 2nd Mass.

Back at the camp, tensions also rise between Hal and Maggie as they struggle with their feelings for each other. Maggie is still dealing with the aftermath of her experiences as an Espheni prisoner, while Hal is dealing with the fallout of his actions while under the influence of the Espheni bug.

As Weaver and his team close in on Pope's location, they discover that the outlaws are mounting an attack on an Espheni base. The 2nd Mass joins forces with Pope's group, but the mission goes awry and they suffer significant losses. In the aftermath, Tom confronts Pope about his reckless behavior and the two come to a tenuous alliance.

Meanwhile, back at the camp, Dr. Kadar makes a breakthrough in his research on the Espheni communication technology. His discovery may hold the key to defeating the aliens once and for all, but the group will have to act quickly before the Espheni catch on.

As the group struggles to stay alive and fight back against the Espheni, they begin to realize that the real enemy may be within. Trust is tested, alliances are formed and broken, and sacrifices must be made as the battle for humanity's survival continues in Falling Skies season 5 episode 4: Pope Breaks Bad.
