Ep 1. The Shadowman

In the first episode of Falling Water season 2, titled "The Shadowman," we see the return of three characters whose dreams are mysteriously linked. Taka, Tess, and Burton all have the ability to enter the dreams of others and manipulate their surroundings. Taka is an NYPD detective investigating a serial killer case that seems to be intertwined with his own dreams. Tess is a struggling artist who discovers a mysterious painting with ties to a dream she can't seem to shake. Burton is a successful businessman who is haunted by a recurring dream of a woman he's never met.

As the episode begins, we find Burton in Tokyo, where he meets with a new employee named Sho. Sho takes Burton to a secret club where members can enter a shared dream space where they can interact with each other in a dreamlike state. While in the dream space, they encounter a mysterious figure known as the Shadowman, who seems to be controlling everything. Meanwhile, back in New York, Taka is working the serial killer case and discovers a clue that leads him to a psychic named Sabine. Sabine helps Taka interpret his dreams and brings him one step closer to catching the killer.

Tess, on the other hand, is struggling with her own dreams. She sees a woman named Olivia in her dreams and is haunted by the feeling that she needs to find her. When Tess discovers a painting of Olivia, she becomes obsessed with finding her and begins to see visions of her in waking life. As the episode progresses, we see the three characters' dreams and realities begin to merge, leading them to a shocking discovery about their pasts.

"The Shadowman" sets up a promising second season for Falling Water. The show's unique concept and complex characters are sure to keep viewers intrigued throughout the season. The episode leaves plenty of questions unanswered, setting the stage for an intriguing mystery that is sure to have fans guessing until the very end.
