In the third episode of season 2 of Family Guy Six Packs, entitled E. Peterbus Unum, the Griffin family decides to secede from the United States and become their own country right in the heart of Quahog. Peter is convinced that the family can govern themselves just fine and without the intervention of any kind of government.

An excited Peter constructs a wall around his new country and proceeds to establish his own rules and regulations. However, he soon realises that it's not as easy as it looks. When he starts printing his own money, he inadvertently causes a disastrous economic crisis in the newly-formed "Petoria."

Meanwhile, Brian the family's beloved dog, becomes depressed and lonely as the country's borders close and he's unable to leave. With his usual intelligence and wit, Brian tries to found a country of his own within Petoria – much to Peter's anger.

As tensions between the two new nations continue to rise, the situation eventually reaches a boiling point and Petoria and its founding father become the subject of a full-blown intervention by the US government.

Throughout the episode, as expected with Family Guy, there are numerous jokes and pop culture references throughout, including references to classic dystopian novel "1984" and even a a nod to The Beatles as Brian forms his own rival nation.

E. Peterbus Unum is a hilarious and clever commentary on the concept of national sovereignty and will have viewers in stitches from start to finish while offering us a satirical take on the over-the-top lengths that some individuals will go to in their pursuit for power.
