Ep 2. A Star Is Torn

Paige wakes up to find out that she had gotten drunk and taken a selfie with a college football player, who then exposes her to the media. As if things weren’t bad enough, she is painted as a liar by the media and gets ostracised by her college friends. This leads to her ruminating over her new found fame, the loss of her old life, and being chased constantly by the paparazzi.

Meanwhile, her co-stars, Rainer and Jordan, hold an audition at the studio for the lead actress in their upcoming movie. Rainer wants his ex-girlfriend, Tangey, to get the lead role, but Jordan notices her struggles under the pressure and decides to help her get a role in the movie.

In addition to this, we see Jordan struggling with his sexual orientation when he has an intimate moment with his co-star, Nina, but he later confesses to Rainer about his feelings for him.

Towards the end of the episode, we see Paige trying to mend her relationships with her college friends, and Cassie tries to move on from her feelings for a co-worker. The episode ends with a plot twist involving Paige’s relationship with Rainer, leaving us on a cliffhanger.
