Fatal Acquittal is an intense crime drama that premiered on Lifetime Movie Network in 2014. The movie is directed by Sam Irvin and written by Naomi L. Selfman. The movie revolves around Richard Miller, a wealthy businessman who is accused of murdering his wife, Nicole, in their home. Richard's defense is that his wife was suicidal and had been struggling with depression for a while. He also claims that he was away on a business trip on the night of the murder.

The case goes to trial, and Richard's defense team is led by Carol Sanders, a brilliant lawyer who has never lost a case. On the other hand, the prosecution team, led by Prosecutor Tom Brandt, is determined to prove that Richard is guilty of killing his wife.

As the trial progresses, it becomes clear that there are several inconsistencies in Richard's story. The evidence against him starts to pile up, and it seems like the prosecution has a strong case against him. However, Carol refuses to give up, and she starts to uncover some shocking secrets about Nicole's past. She discovers that Nicole was involved in an affair with another man, and that she had been struggling with addiction.

Despite the mounting evidence against Richard, Carol is convinced that he is innocent. She continues to fight for him, even as the trial becomes more and more complex. Her determination pays off when she manages to uncover a crucial piece of evidence that proves Richard's innocence.

The movie features a strong cast, with Joely Fisher playing Carol Sanders and Patrick Muldoon playing Richard Miller. The chemistry between the two main actors is excellent, and they deliver compelling performances that keep viewers engaged throughout the movie.

Overall, Fatal Acquittal is a gripping crime drama that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The movie's clever plot twists and turns make for an unforgettable viewing experience that will leave viewers rooting for Carol Sanders and Richard Miller until the very end.
