Free! (English Dubbed) Season 3 Episode 8 A Solitary Medley!

The episode "A Solitary Medley!" of season 3 of Free! (Original Japanese Version) picks up with Ryuuji competing in his last solo race before he leaves for college. Despite his nerves, he manages to swim a personal best time and secure a spot at nationals. Meanwhile, Sousuke is struggling with an injury and is forced to sit out of the competition. He begins to feel disconnected from the rest of the team and starts to question his future in swimming. As he watches his friends compete, he realizes that he may have to let go of his dreams in order to heal properly.

Back at the competition, it's Haru's turn to swim in the medley relay. However, he is paired with three strangers instead of his usual team, and he can feel their lack of chemistry holding them back. Despite this, Haru steps up and swims a flawless leg, giving his team a chance to win.

As the episode comes to a close, the tension between Ryuuji and Haru continues to mount. They both know that only one of them can win at nationals, but they also don't want to damage their friendship.
