From Here on OUT is a well written and somewhat brash series about a man who struggled with his sexuality his whole life and finally decides to come out of the closet. In a very unique way his antics represent the normal feelings and emotions that anyone who reveals their true identity after keeping this big secret would experience. Due to his 'beyond middle age' status, gay character Jimmy Randall has a harder (and funnier!) time with some of these expressions and consequences than his younger counterparts.

Success comes as Jimmy finally sells his first major script to an LGBT network and is tasked with creating an actual television that will air every week. The clock ticks loudly as Jimmy and his co-stars, which include a straight man playing his gay lover and a maid that has more sass than sauce, attempt to keep writing new scripts about fictional characters that are sometimes less interesting than what is literally right under their noses. Jimmy finds that keeping secrets about being gay his whole life and now having a boyfriend who is not gay are very similar and he struggles with revealing the truth once again.
