Bendin' in the Wind is the thirteenth episode of the third season of Futurama. The episode begins with Bender, the robot, feeling homesick and wanting to reconnect with his folk music career. He decides to go on a road trip with the crew to a music festival in a rural area of the United States. While there, Bender meets his idol, the musician Beck, who has retired from performing after losing his hands in a freak accident.
Bender gives Beck his own hands as a gift, only to realize too late that he is now handless himself. The crew attempts to find Bender a replacement set of hands but is unsuccessful, so he ends up returning to the festival as a percussive instrument. He becomes a hit with the crowd and starts playing in bands with other performers at the festival.
As the episode progresses, the crew becomes involved in a feud with a group of hillbillies who are upset about the noise from the festival and are threatening to shut it down. Bender decides to put on a benefit concert to raise money to buy the hillbillies' silence. However, the concert is interrupted by a swarm of locusts that destroys everything in its path, including the hillbillies' farms.
The episode ends with Bender and Beck performing a duet at sunset while a group of people rebuilds the festival grounds in the background. Overall, the episode is a lighthearted and funny story about the importance of music and the joy it can bring to people's lives.
