The Mutants Are Revolting is the twelfth episode of the seventh season of the cult classic animated series Futurama. The show takes place in the year 3000, where delivery boy Fry finds himself cryogenically frozen and awakens 1,000 years later in a new world where he becomes the delivery boy for the intergalactic delivery company Planet Express alongside a quirky cast of characters.

In this episode, the mutants who live beneath the city of New New York are fed up with their poor living conditions and lack of basic rights. They decide to stage a revolt and demand equality from the surface-dwellers.

The episode begins with Fry and Leela receiving an invitation to the surface for a fancy party. However, they soon realize that the invitation was meant for their more affluent counterparts and they are simply being used as delivery people for the event. As they leave the surface, they notice the mutants are protesting and Filmore, the leader, approaches them and tasks them to be the voice of the mutants to plead their case to the surface.

Fry and Leela agree to take on the task and find themselves in the sprawling underground tunnels of the mutants. There, they discover that the mutants are suffering from poor living conditions, lack of medical care, and are treated as second-class citizens by the surface-dwellers. Fry and Leela become determined to help the mutants and seek out a way to improve their quality of life.

Meanwhile, Bender becomes convinced that he is a robot god and starts demanding that his fellow robots worship him. This subplot provides some of the episode's lighter moments, as Bender's arrogance and overconfidence cause some hilarious mishaps.

Fry and Leela decide to organize a rally for the mutants and invite surface-dwellers to join them in solidarity. However, the rally gets out of hand and turns into a full-blown riot. The mutants become restless and start attacking buildings and infrastructure. Fry and Leela try to restore order but their efforts are in vain.

Eventually, they come up with a plan to get the mutants what they want without resorting to violence. This involves using Bender's newfound god-complex to their advantage, and as unrealistic as it may sound, it works.

The episode ends with a heartwarming moment where the mutants and the surface-dwellers come together in unity, and the mutants are granted the basic rights and liberties they deserve.

Overall, The Mutants Are Revolting is a thought-provoking and humorous episode that touches upon themes of inequality, prejudice, and unity. The nuanced portrayal of mutants as complex and relatable characters is one of the hallmarks of the show's writing and this episode is no different. The storyline is well-paced, with plenty of humor and heart to balance out the more serious moments. It's a must-watch for any fans of the show or for anyone in need of a good laugh with a brilliant social commentary.
