Ep 3. Maximum Impact

Moving on, Richard heads to the Nevada desert to visit the Creech Air Force Base and check out the MQ-9 Reaper drone. This drone has become well known for its role in targeted killings and surveillance in the War on Terror. Richard meets with the operators who fly the Reaper and learn about the advanced sensors and weapons systems that it uses. He also watches as the Reaper is put through its paces, firing missiles and accurately hitting targets from thousands of feet in the air.

In another segment, Richard takes a look at the Active Denial System, a non-lethal weapon that uses directed-energy technology to repel crowds or deter potential threats. This weapon emits a beam of electromagnetic radiation that causes the skin to feel like it's on fire, forcing the target to move away or take cover. Richard tests out the Active Denial System himself and feels the intense burning sensation that it causes.

The episode continues with a feature on the Precision-Guided Firearm, a rifle that uses advanced technology to ensure accurate hits on targets up to 1,200 yards away. Richard meets with the inventor of the rifle and watches as it is demonstrated on a shooting range. The results are impressive, with the rifle delivering pinpoint accuracy even in adverse conditions.

Finally, Richard heads to Israel to check out the Trophy Active Protection System. This system is designed to protect tanks and other armored vehicles from incoming missiles and rockets. Richard meets with the engineers who developed the Trophy and watches as it is tested against a variety of threats. The results are incredible, with the Trophy successfully destroying all incoming projectiles.
