Ep 2. Gatchaman Vs. Dragon King

Gatchaman Vs. Dragon King is the second episode of the Gatchaman anime series. The episode follows up on the events of the first episode and introduces the show's overarching plot.

The episode begins with Ken, the leader of the Gatchaman team, giving the team a briefing about a new threat. The threat is a group of cyborgs created by an evil organization called Galactor. The Gatchaman team is tasked with destroying the Mecha-Beasts and stopping Galactor from taking over the world. The team consists of Ken, Joe, Jun, Jinpei, and Ryu, who are each equipped with special weapons and vehicles.

The team's first mission is to stop a Mecha-Beast that is attacking a city. The Mecha-Beast, known as the "Dragon King," is a giant robot that can shoot fire and fly. The Gatchaman team attacks the Dragon King with their vehicles and weapons, but they are unable to damage it.

The Dragon King's attacks cause widespread destruction and panic in the city. Ken decides that they need to evacuate the city before they can take down the Mecha-Beast. However, Jinpei discovers that the Dragon King is powered by a reactor located underground. He volunteers to go down and destroy it.

Jinpei successfully destroys the reactor, causing the Dragon King to shut down. The Gatchaman team then attacks the Mecha-Beast and destroys it once and for all.

The episode ends with Berg Katse reporting to Galactor's leader about the defeat of the Dragon King. The leader orders Berg Katse to prepare another Mecha-Beast to attack the city.

Gatchaman Vs. Dragon King sets up the show's ongoing conflict between the Gatchaman team and Galactor. It also introduces the concept of Mecha-Beasts, which will be a recurring threat throughout the series.
