A lone detective from Tokyo named Kenzo Mori travels to London in pursuit of his presumed-dead brother Yuto, who is believed to be a member of the Yakuza. Mori's search for Yuto leads him to the underworld of London's Japanese community where he works with local detective Sarah Weitzmann to solve a tangled web of murders, conspiracies, and family drama. In the eighth and final episode of the first season, Mori's troubled relationship with his family comes to a head as he and Yuto confront each other in a final, bloody showdown. Meanwhile, Sarah Weitzmann struggles to come to terms with the truth about her own family while trying to take down a powerful Yakuza boss known as The Doctor. As the fate of Tokyo and London are weighed in the balance, alliances will be broken, secrets revealed, and blood will be spilled in this thrilling conclusion to Giri/Haji's first season.
