Hannah has moved to Iowa for graduate school and is struggling to adjust to her new environment. In this episode, she begins teaching a writing class, but quickly realizes that her students are uninterested and unmotivated. Meanwhile, back in New York City, Marnie is still reeling from her breakup with Charlie and tries to fill the void by throwing herself into her music career. Shoshanna is struggling with her new job and relationship, while Jessa is still trying to figure out her own life. Each character faces their own challenges and it becomes clear that they are all struggling to find their place in the world. As the episode progresses, tensions rise and emotions become heightened, leading to a series of events that force the characters to confront their inner demons and face their problems head on. Through it all, Girls continues to explore the complexities of modern relationships and the struggles of young adults trying to find their way in the world.
