Ep 20. Bad Night

Nick Burkhardt and his group go through a tough time with the Black Claw targeting their loved ones. The gang is divided as to how they should act- those who are radical, led by Bonaparte, want to rid the world of Wesen, while others like Renard and Trubel are against it. Meanwhile, Nick and Monroe, with their respective girlfriends, Adalind and Rosalee, gather to find a way to stop the Black Claw members who are after them.

In the previous episode, Nick and his colleagues were successful in capturing Bonaparte, and they keep him captive in an attempt to get information out of him. As the episode begins, Nick, Hank, Monroe, Rosalee, Wu, and Adalind try to get everyone who's first and foremost on the Black Claw hit-list into one place, where they can all be protected. They bring them to Aunt Marie's trailer, and it becomes the command center for this mission.

However, not everyone is happy to see each other there. Renard arrives with Rachel, who is supposed to have surgery. Nick and Renard have a usual run-in where they argue about nothing in particular, before Renard admits that he has changed his mind about Black Claw and now understands Nick's perspective. He also shows concern about his daughter, Diana, who he believes will be used as a tool by the Black Claw members.

Meanwhile, Adalind confides in Rosalee about Renard and their shared history. The two women compare their experiences of living their lives on the other side of the law. Rosalee advises Adalind to tell Nick the whole story, and that it is better for him to know the full truth sooner rather than later.

One of the Black Claw members, who is in law enforcement, uses her badge to gain entry in Aunt Marie's trailer pretending to have an official investigation. She tries to check one of the rooms but is stopped by Nick and Monroe. They overpower her but still need to ensure that there are no other Black Claw members lurking. Unable to trust anyone else anymore, they decide to split up- two will go out in the open, attracting Black Claw members to follow them, while the other two will head to the spice shop to check for other possible threats.

On their way to the shop, Nick and Adalind discuss their shared past and how they have ended up here, protecting themselves and their loved ones from the Wesen war. At the spice shop, Rosalee and Monroe come across a Wesen that is a potential Black Claw member. They capture him and get a major lead about where the Black Claw headquarters might be.

The duo who are out in the open gets followed by two motorcyclists. Nick and Monroe lead the killers into an abandoned warehouse and prepare to fight. They both are injured in the brawl that follows, but in the end, they come out on top- Nick uses the opportunity to reveal something important to Monroe.

Back at Aunt Marie's trailer, Bonaparte takes full advantage of a momentary lapse in security measures and takes an unsuspecting Rachel away with him. When Nick and Monroe come back in, they find out that she is gone, thanks to a tip-off from their captive.

The episode ends with everyone scattered, both emotionally and physically. They are all preparing for the final fight that they all know is coming. Will they make it to the end? Only time will tell.
