In Hawaii Five-0 season 3 episode 16, titled "Kekoa" (The Warrior), the Five-0 team investigates the murder of a Hawaii-based SEAL who was about to be awarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery on the battlefield. The team's investigation takes them deep into the world of black market arms dealing, which leads them to a notorious ex-SEAL named Kekoa. As it turns out, Kekoa is being targeted by the same arms dealers who killed the SEAL, and he needs the Five-0 team's help to protect himself and his family.
As the team delves deeper into the case, they come across a number of other ex-SEALS who are also being targeted by the arms dealers. Along the way, they must deal with Kekoa's estranged wife, who is both a suspect and a possible victim, and an old war buddy of Kekoa's who has been caught up in the black market weapons trade.
Throughout the course of the episode, there are plenty of thrilling action sequences, as the Five-0 team chases down suspects and engages in intense shootouts with the arms dealers. However, there are also some quieter moments that allow the characters to shine, such as when Danny and Kono bond over their shared military backgrounds and their love of sports.
As always, the performances from the cast are top-notch, with Alex O'Loughlin delivering a standout turn as Steve McGarrett, the head of the Five-0 team. The episode also features some excellent guest stars, including Eric Roberts as the shady arms dealer, and Autumn Reeser as Kekoa's wife.
Overall, "Kekoa" is a strong episode of Hawaii Five-0 that manages to balance thrilling action with nuanced character work. It's definitely a must-watch for fans of the show.
