Ep 2. I Say a Little Prayer

Martie, from the Hellcats' squad, gets a shock after learning from Savannah, her best friend, that she has been visiting Dan, Martie's ex-boyfriend, behind her back. Feeling betrayed by both Savannah and Dan, Martie is forced to confront the situation and make tough decisions. Meanwhile, Lewis tries to get some advice from his family to help him integrate into the world of cheerleading and compete for a place on the Hellcat team.

The Hellcats' squad meets together with new coach Vanessa Lodge to prepare for a large home game. Martie, one of the top cheerleaders on the squad, is trying to rebuild after being kicked out of her dance school. As they practice, Savannah, Martie's best friend, confides to Martie that she has been seeing Dan, Martie's ex-boyfriend, behind her back. Devastated by the news, Martie confronts Savannah and forbids her from seeing Dan, threatening to end their friendship if she does not comply.

Meanwhile, Lewis, a football player with incredible acrobatic skills, is still trying to win a place on the Hellcat squad. Despite being impressed with his abilities, the rest of the squad is not comfortable with Lewis, as they worry his presence will take resources away from other team members. Lewis is determined to prove himself and works tirelessly to integrate himself with the Hellcats, seeking advice from his sister Wanda, who used to be a cheerleader herself.

As the home game approaches, the squad receives news that their routine will have to be changed due to one of their key players falling ill. Vanessa makes a bold decision, choosing to swap out Martie for Savannah in the routine, despite the tensions between the two. Martie is initially upset but eventually comes around, realizing that the team comes first.

As the day of the game arrives, tensions run high. To calm their nerves, Lewis leads the squad in a prayer, hoping for success in the game. The Hellcats take the field and deliver a stunning performance, much to the delight of the crowd.

After the game, Martie and Savannah confront each other once more, ultimately apologizing and making amends. Lewis, having won over the team with his hard work, is officially welcomed into the Hellcats family.
