Jonas is a youth-oriented television series that ran for two seasons. In 2010 it was nominated for a prime time Emmy as Outstanding Children's Program. The program features the rock band the Jonas Brothers, consisting of brothers Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas. Nick is the youngest in the band, Joe is the middle brother, and Kevin is the oldest sibling. In terms of their musical contributions to the TV program, Nick sings vocals and plays multiple instruments, Joe sings vocals and Kevin primarily plays guitar. Music videos and concert performances are a regular element in each episode. In the first season, the show centers round the three famous musicians and their life in a private high school. Two of their best female friends, Stella, played by Chelsea Kane, and Macy, portrayed by Nicole Gale Anderson, tag along on many of their adventures. Stella serves as their fashion stylist and Macy is president of their fan club. During the first season the Jonas family lives in a revamped fire station. The boys are often shown sliding down the fire poles on their way to their latest musical or school commitment. The Jonas Brothers real life younger brother, Frankie Jonas, has a recurring role on the series as their younger sibling. Their actual parents do not appear on the show, but are portrayed by actors John Ducey and Rebecca Creskoff. Mom and dad appear frequently in the first season but are not regular characters in the show's second year. That's because the format of the program changes in year two. The family rock band no longer lives in the fire station but the boys relocate to sunny southern California. Stella and Macy move out West as well and live with Stella's aunt. Joe and Stella have an on-again, off-again dating relationship throughout the run of the series. Macy and Nick also share a flirtatious relationship at times. As a popular rock group, on the show the brothers are always swamped by female fans.
