Hey Duggee is a British animated series primarily aimed at preschoolers. It features a dog named Duggee who runs a club for young critters called the "Squirrel Club." Each episode follows the club's adventures as they earn badges by learning new skills and working together as a team.
In season 2 episode 43, titled "The Looking After Badge," the Squirrels are excited to earn their next badge. The Looking After Badge requires them to take care of a living thing, and they all have different ideas for what they want to look after.
Betty chooses a tree that needs some love and care, Happy and Tag want to take care of the birds, and Roly decides to look after a small rock. Norrie, meanwhile, wants to care for something tiny and cute.
Duggee agrees to let them all look after their chosen items, and he teaches them the importance of nurturing and taking care of living things. They all learn that different things require different types of care - Betty's tree needs water, Happy and Tag's birds need food, and Norrie's chosen critters need a gentle touch.
The Squirrels all team up to take care of their chosen items and are successful in doing so. When the campfire is set up, they show off all the things they have cared for and earned their Looking After Badges.
The episode aims to teach children the importance of being responsible and caring for living things and the different ways that things need to be looked after. The fun and colorful animation keep kids engaged whilst learning valuable lessons in a fun way.
