After the intriguing first episode of Homecoming, we move into the second episode named "Pineapple." In this episode, we witness the consequences of Heidi Bergman's (played by Julia Roberts) decision of leaving the Homecoming Transitional Support Center. Colin Belfast (played by Bobby Cannavale), who is the director of the Geist Group-owned facility, is now in a tough situation as the government is inquiring about the allegations made by Walter Cruz (played by Stephan James) against the center.

The episode starts on a familiar note by bringing us back to the very beginning of the season, with Walter's arrival at the Homecoming center. We see him struggling with the new environment as Heidi tries to make him feel comfortable. Meanwhile, Audrey Temple (played by Hong Chau), a resourceful Geist Group employee, visits Colin at his office to inform him about the investigation. Colin, who is visibly concerned, asks her to take care of the issue.

Cutting back to the present, we see Heidi trying to move on from her past and planning to live a normal life with her mother in Tampa. She is seen spending time with her mother and appearing on a job interview as she wants to get back into the workforce. But soon her plans take a turn when she senses that someone is following her. She manages to lose the tail by taking a taxi and stands outside her mother's house. After the unsettling incident, Heidi decides not to move to Tampa and continue living in her present apartment.

Later, Walter is seen in a therapy session with his new therapist, who is the exact opposite of Heidi. The therapist's approach irritates Walter, and he requests to change his therapist right away. Meanwhile, Colin gets a call from the investigating committee, and it's apparent that they are not happy with the evidence Colin has provided so far. Colin realizes that he needs to do something drastic to save himself and his company.

Next, we see Shrier (played by Jeremy Allen White) going around the town to discover more about the Homecoming center. Eventually, he visits Walter's mother, who is shocked to hear about the things that happened to her son at the center. Meanwhile, Heidi is seen doing laundry when she finds a pineapple in the pocket of Walter's pants, which he left at her place. The pineapple reminds her of the horrifying incident that took place at the center, and she panics.

Finally, Colin arranges a meeting with Audrey to discuss their next move. It becomes clear that Colin is willing to cross boundaries to protect Geist's interest, and Audrey is left confused by his proposition. This scene proves that Colin is one of the most intriguing characters of the show and we are left wondering about his true intentions.

Overall, "Pineapple" is a fantastic episode that takes the latest drama to a whole new level. It expertly portrays the various sides of the Homecoming center's story and the consequences of the characters' actions. As the investigation deepens, it becomes clear that the characters' pasts are catching up with them, and their lies might finally be exposed.
