Ep 4. Lucy Thinks Ricky Is Trying to Murder Her

Meanwhile, Fred and Ethel come up with their own plan to test Ricky's intentions by putting him through a series of "murderous" scenarios. These include serving Ricky a cup of coffee with sugar substituted for arsenic, hiding behind doors with a fake gun, and dropping a fake statue onto his head. While these tests are meant to put Lucy's mind at ease, they only serve to further escalate her paranoia.

Eventually, Ricky can't take it anymore and decides to play a practical joke on Lucy. He sneaks into their bedroom in the middle of the night wearing a mask and carrying a fake knife, pretending to "murder" her as she sleeps. Lucy wakes up screaming and runs out of the room, but soon realizes that it was all just a joke.

In the end, Lucy learns her lesson about letting her imagination run wild and Ricky assures her that he has no intention of killing her. They make up and share a sweet moment together, with Ricky serenading Lucy with a rendition of "Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair."
