I Love Lucy Season 5 Episode 4 Ricky Sells the Car

In I Love Lucy season 5 episode 4, titled "Ricky Sells the Car," Lucy becomes determined to sell Ricky's car after finding out that he bought her a mink stole. Despite Ricky's insistence that they cannot afford it, Lucy is determined to pay him back with the profits from selling the car.

Lucy convinces Ethel to help her disguise the car and make it look more appealing to potential buyers. They cover it in cardboard and add fake flowers and plants to make it look like a garden on wheels. As they wait for buyers, Lucy and Ethel pass the time by practicing dance routines in the empty lot where they are parked.

Eventually, a man approaches them and expresses interest in buying the car. Lucy tries to negotiate with him and inflate the price, but he sees through her tactics and calls her out on it. Frustrated, Lucy caves and agrees to lower the price.

Meanwhile, Ricky begins to regret selling the car and tries to back out of the deal. He calls the man who bought the car and offers to buy it back for more than he paid. The man agrees, but as Ricky is about to seal the deal, Lucy and Ethel drive up in the car, having decided that they cannot go through with the sale after all.

In the end, they come up with a creative solution to pay off the mink stole, and Ricky forgives Lucy for trying to sell his car. The episode ends with the two of them dancing in the empty lot, as Lucy muses that sometimes the best things in life are the simplest.
