Ep 1. Awakening, and Another World

In Another World with My Smartphone is an anime series that tells the story of Touya Mochizuki, a 15-year-old boy who meets a God while on his way home from school. The God accidentally kills Touya and apologizes by offering him a wish to be reincarnated in a magical world. Touya chooses to have his smartphone with him in the new world as well as the ability to use magic.

Touya runs into trouble when he tries to provide helpful advice to a local girl who is being harassed by a group of thugs. In this episode, Touya also meets the king of the kingdom. The king sees the value in Touya's knowledge and invites him to be an official of the kingdom and offers him a castle as a residence. Touya is hesitant but accepts the offer.
