JAG season 2 episode 3, titled "Jinx," follows the naval lawyers and investigators of the Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG) as they take on yet another case. This time, Commander Rabb (David James Elliot) and Lieutenant Austin (Tracey Needham) are assigned to defend a young fighter pilot named Lieutenant Bishop (Shawn Christian) who has been involved in six accidents during his short career in the Navy. The latest one had resulted in the death of his wingman and severe injuries to himself.

As the JAG team begins investigating the case, they discover that Bishop has a superstition for the number seven, and that he has been trying to avoid flying his seventh mission at all costs. This leads them to suspect that Bishop may have sabotaged his own plane in order to avoid his unlucky seventh mission. However, as they dig deeper they uncover evidence that suggests that the accident may not have been caused by Bishop's negligence at all.

Meanwhile, Commander Rabb has to deal with some personal issues as well. His father, a retired Navy captain, shows up unannounced and starts meddling in his son's life. Their relationship has always been strained, and this unexpected visit only adds to the tension. The father-son conflict is further complicated by the fact that Rabb's father is a fierce advocate of the military and takes issue with some of his son's decisions. Rabb has to find a way to balance his family obligations with his duties as a JAG officer.

Back at the office, the rest of the JAG team is working on a case involving a group of female sailors who have accused their commanding officer of sexual harassment. Lieutenant Austin is tasked with investigating the matter and gathering evidence to support the sailors' claims. Her investigation takes her to some dark corners of the Navy, where she encounters an entrenched culture of sexual harassment and intimidation. Her determination to bring justice to the victims puts her own career in jeopardy.

As the three parallel storylines unfold, the JAG team must navigate their way through a maze of legal and ethical questions, while dealing with their own personal demons. The "Jinx" episode of JAG is a tense and compelling drama that showcases the complexity of military justice and the daily challenges faced by the men and women who serve in uniform. From the high-stakes courtroom scenes to the heart-wrenching testimonies of the victims, this episode leaves no stone unturned in its quest for truth and justice.
