The Bridge at Kang So Ri is the eighteenth episode of the fifth season of the popular television series JAG. The episode is an intense and emotional drama that sees the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) launch an investigation into the disappearance of three Marines from their unit in Korea.

The episode starts with Commander Harmon "Harm" Rabb (played by David James Elliott) and his partner, Lieutenant Colonel Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie (played by Catherine Bell) arriving in Korea to investigate the disappearance of the three Marines. The Marines disappeared after being sent to guard a bridge in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) separating North and South Korea.

As the investigation unfolds, Harm and Mac meet with the commander of the unit that the missing Marines belonged to, Lieutenant Colonel Bobbi Latham (played by Isabella Hofmann). Latham is a tough and no-nonsense commander who is determined to find out what happened to her Marines. As Harm and Mac learn more about the situation, they discover that there may be more to the disappearance than initially thought.

The episode is filled with tension and suspense as Harm and Mac work to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance. The investigation takes them to the DMZ and across the Korean countryside as they search for clues and talk to witnesses. Along the way, they encounter resistance from the North Koreans who are also interested in what happened to the Marines.

As the investigation progresses, Harm and Mac must also deal with their own personal issues. Mac is dealing with the aftermath of a failed relationship and Harm is struggling with the fact that his father may have died in combat. These personal issues add depth to the characters and help to humanize them in the midst of the intense investigation.

The episode is also notable for its portrayal of the political and military tensions in Korea. The DMZ is one of the most heavily armed and fortified borders in the world, and the episode does an excellent job of conveying the tension and danger that exists in the region. The show also tackles the issue of North Korean human rights violations and the difficulties of diplomacy in the face of authoritarian regimes.

Overall, The Bridge at Kang So Ri is a gripping and emotionally charged episode of JAG. The show does an excellent job of balancing the intense investigation with the personal struggles of the characters, making for a compelling and well-rounded episode. Fans of the series will not be disappointed by this installment.
