Ep 10. Good Cop, Bad Cop

As parents, it's difficult to know when to be strict with your child and when to be more lenient. In this episode of Jo Frost: Nanny on Tour, Jo visits a family with two children, a daughter named Olivia who is 7 years old and a son named Lucas who is 4 years old. Their parents, Liza and Greg, have different parenting styles and it's causing confusion for the children.

Liza is the "good cop," she's very affectionate with the children and allows them to make their own decisions. Greg, on the other hand, is the "bad cop," he's strict with the children and often punishes them for misbehaving. The children are confused and don't know how to act around their father.

Jo starts off by observing the family and notices that the children are constantly seeking attention from their parents and are easily distracted. Olivia is also very rude and disruptive during meal times. Jo sits down with Liza and Greg and has a frank conversation with them about their parenting styles. She tells them that they need to be on the same page and work together in order to create a consistent approach to discipline.

Later, Jo works with Olivia on her manners during meal times. She teaches her how to set the table and how to behave during dinner. Jo also works with Lucas, who has trouble following instructions. She teaches him how to listen and follow directions with the use of a reward system.

Jo then sits down with Liza and Greg again to discuss how they can work together to create a consistent approach. They come up with a plan to have regular family meetings and to use a reward system for good behavior. They also agree to communicate more effectively with each other.

The family tries out their new approach and it works well. Olivia is more respectful during meal times and Lucas is better at following directions. Liza and Greg are also working together better and communicating more effectively.

In the end, Jo checks in with the family and sees that they're doing well. The children are more well-behaved and the parents are working together to create a more consistent approach to discipline. Jo reminds them that parenting is a learning process and that it's important to communicate and work together in order to provide a stable and loving environment for their children.
