Aoi has gotten used to her new life at the Tenjin-ya inn, where she serves as a chef for the spirits. In this episode, Aoi is asked to take care of two unusual guests: a snow woman and an earth-spider. The snow woman, Yuki, comes from the Snow Palace and is looking for a husband. The earth-spider, Kiroku, is searching for a wife. Aoi is tasked with helping these two find love.
Aoi is initially hesitant to take on this job, but Lord Matsuba convinces her to do it by promising her a great reward if she succeeds. Aoi is worried about finding a husband for Yuki, since she has never been in a relationship before. Aoi decides to ask for advice from her friend, Ginji, who is knowledgeable about the spirit world. Ginji tells Aoi that Yuki's ideal husband would be someone who is gentle and kind.
Meanwhile, Kiroku is causing trouble at the inn by scaring the other guests with his spider-like appearance. Aoi manages to calm him down and convince him to transform into a human form. Kiroku is grateful to Aoi for treating him kindly and promises to help her with her matchmaking duties.
Aoi sets out to find a suitable husband for Yuki. She meets a spirit named Byakuya, who is also looking for a wife. Byakuya seems like a perfect match for Yuki, but he turns out to be a bit of a playboy. Aoi is not impressed with him and thinks that he is not a good match for Yuki.
Aoi continues to search for a husband for Yuki and eventually comes across a kind-hearted spirit named Hatori. Hatori is both gentle and trustworthy, which makes him a perfect match for Yuki. Aoi arranges a meeting between Yuki and Hatori and they hit it off right away. Aoi is happy to have succeeded in her quest to find love for Yuki.
In the end, Aoi is rewarded for her efforts with a rare ingredient that she can use in her cooking. She is proud of herself for having helped Yuki and Kiroku find love and looks forward to whatever challenges lie ahead at the Tenjin-ya inn.
