King Of The Hill Season 5 Episode 11 Hank and the Great Glass Elevator

Hank and the Great Glass Elevator is the eleventh episode of the fifth season of the American animated television show King of the Hill. The episode revolves around Hank Hill, a propane salesman, who gets stuck in a glass elevator with his boss, Buck Strickland, and his arch-nemesis, Jimmy Wichard.

The episode starts with Hank waiting for Buck Strickland, his boss and owner of the Strickland Propane company, to arrive so they can go to a business meeting together. Jimmy Wichard, a competitor of Strickland's propane business, shows up and brags about his success. Hank gets into an argument with Jimmy and eventually leaves with Buck in a glass elevator.

As soon as the elevator doors close, they realize they are stuck. While waiting for someone to rescue them, Buck starts drinking bourbon and offers some to Hank despite his protests. They start to bond over their shared love for propane and sports while Jimmy angrily looks on.

As time goes by, the elevator becomes more and more cramped and uncomfortable. Hank notices that Buck has a portable propane heater and suggests they use it to keep warm, but Buck accidentally ignites a box of matches causing a small fire. Hank tries to extinguish the fire with a bottle of water, but Buck drinks it instead, believing it to be bourbon.

Meanwhile, Peggy and Luanne try to find a way to rescue the men and turn to Dale, who has a lot of experience with conspiracy theories and elevators. Dale's theory is that the government is behind the stalled elevator and that the men are being subjected to psychological experiments.

As the men become more desperate, they start to hallucinate and argue with each other. Hank has a vision of his father, Cotton, who tells him to "sell propane and propane accessories." Buck has a vision of his dead assistant, who tells him to "make propane your legacy." Eventually, they are rescued by firefighters who had to break through a wall to reach them.

The episode ends with Buck offering Hank a promotion to manager, but Hank declines, saying that he wants to keep selling propane and propane accessories.
