Hank Hill and his friends are avid golfers who have been members of the Arlen Country Club for many years. However, when Hank is admitted to the club's board of directors, he quickly realizes that the club is becoming more exclusive and less accessible to average golfers. Hank begins to clash with the other board members and their elitist attitudes, which leads to him being kicked out of the country club.
Feeling out of place and uncomfortable at other golf courses, Hank decides to start his own club for average golfers. He enlists the help of his friends and family to organize the club, and they find success in attracting other golfers who feel left out by the exclusive nature of the Arlen Country Club.
Meanwhile, Peggy Hill becomes obsessed with the idea of joining a women's club, but finds that she is not welcome due to her lack of wealth and status. Peggy becomes determined to prove herself and tries to find ways to fit in with the women in the club, even going so far as to try to emulate their behavior and style.
As Hank's new club gains popularity, the members of the Arlen Country Club begin to take notice and feel threatened by the competition. They begin to try and sabotage Hank's club by spreading rumors and making it difficult for them to get permits and funding. Hank and his friends must work even harder to keep their club afloat and prove that golf is for everyone, not just the elite few.
In the end, Hank's club prevails and gains the respect of the Arlen Country Club members. Peggy also learns that there is more to life than wealth and status, and that true friendships and happiness cannot be bought with money.
