Ernesti is fascinated by the Telestale's advanced features and technology, but as the test goes on, something goes wrong, and the Telestale goes berserk. The researchers in the room are unable to control the machine, but Ernesti, recognizing the underlying cause of the malfunction, is able to save the day using his knowledge of mechanics.

From this point on, Ernesti is determined to become a Silhouette Knight pilot and to build his own, more advanced Silhouette Knight. He enrolls at a military academy where he meets his classmates and future friends, Adeltrud and Archid, both skilled in their own rights. Ernesti impresses them with his knowledge and enthusiasm, and they quickly form a bond.

The episode ends with a cliffhanger as the kingdom is suddenly attacked by a group of rogue mages, who have managed to capture and control a group of Silhouette Knights. Ernesti and his new friends are called to action to defend the kingdom and its Silhouette Knights.
