Set in ancient Japan, Kurozuka is a supernatural anime series telling the story of Kuro, a powerful warrior, and his intense and passionate love affair with a mysterious woman named Kuromitsu. Kuro is a skilled samurai fighting for his lord, Minamoto no Yoshitsune, against the forces of the powerful Taira clan. During a risky mission to conquer some enemy strongholds, Kuro and his close friend, Benkei, get separated from Yoshitsune's army and end up getting lost in the forest. They are ambushed by some bandits, but Kuro proves to be too strong for them. The fight leaves Kuro injured, and with no other option, Benkei sets out to find help.

While Kuro is alone in the forest, he hears the sound of a woman singing in the distance, and he decides to follow it. He stumbles upon an abandoned village called Adachigahara. As he wanders through the village, Kuro gets a feeling of something ominous lurking around. Suddenly, he finds himself face-to-face with a beautiful woman named Kuromitsu. She appears friendly and tells Kuro that she's been waiting for him. Kuro, who is mesmerized by her beauty, intrinsically feels a strong connection to her.

Later that evening, Kuromitsu invites Kuro into her house. She says that she wants to show him something - an ancient scroll containing the secret of immortality. Kuromitsu explains that the scroll contains a recipe for an elixir that can grant eternal life. Kuro, initially skeptical, looks into the scroll and realizes that it's a genuine document. Kuromitsu offers him a taste of the elixir, telling him that it will make him invincible. Kuro drinks it and becomes immortal - his wounds heal instantly, and he attains extraordinary strength and agility.

Kuro and Kuromitsu, who is also an immortal, start living together in the village. They spend a lot of time together and gradually fall deeply in love. However, things start to change when Kuro discovers that the other inhabitants of the village are not friendly. They seem to have been waiting for him to awaken a deep evil, and for hundreds of years, they have been offering human sacrifices to a powerful entity that lives beneath the ground.

As Kuro attempts to uncover the dark secrets of the village, he is attacked by some bandits who try to capture Kuromitsu. Kuro fights them fiercely and manages to save Kuromitsu from their clutches. However, Kuro realizes that the bandits are not ordinary humans. They are ruthless and deadly monsters that seem to be driven by an insatiable thirst for blood.

Kuro and Kuromitsu's relationship is put to the test as they face numerous challenges, including surviving the monstrous creatures lurking in the darkness and uncovering the secrets of the mysterious village. Meanwhile, Kuro's old friend, Benkei, is searching for him and is determined to rescue him from the clutches of danger.

Overall, the first episode of Kurozuka sets the stage for a captivating story full of action, romance, and supernatural elements.
