Ep 2. Searching for a Golden Deal

After a long and stressful week at work, sometimes there's nothing better than escaping to the tranquil and serene beauty of a lakefront property. This week on Lakefront Bargain Hunt, we follow a young couple in their search for the perfect lakefront getaway.

In season 13 episode 2, titled "Searching for a Golden Deal," we meet Brian and Julie, who have always dreamed of owning a lakefront property where they can relax and unwind. Brian works long hours in a high-stress job in finance, while Julie is a stay-at-home mom to their two young children. They both agree that a lakefront property would be the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of their busy lives and spend quality time together as a family.

They tour a charming cottage that has stunning lake views and plenty of outdoor space but is in need of some serious upgrades.

Next, they head to Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma, which boasts over 600 miles of shoreline and is consistently ranked as one of the best bass fishing lakes in the country. Here, they view a spacious cabin that has recently been renovated and has all the modern amenities. However, the only drawback is the lack of a sandy beach, which is a dealbreaker for Julie.

Finally, they visit Lake Havasu in Arizona, a popular destination for boaters and jet skiers, known for its warm weather and vibrant nightlife. Here, they view a stunning home that has undergone a complete renovation and has all the bells and whistles they could ever want. It even has a private launch ramp and a sand volleyball court, which is a huge selling point for the kids.

Throughout the episode, the couple weighs the pros and cons of each property and ultimately makes a tough decision. Will they be able to find the perfect lakefront property that fits their budget and meets all their needs? Or will they have to compromise on some of their must-haves in order to find a bargain?
