Ep 12. Info Wars

The episode opens up with the discovery of a body, the victim of an apparent homicide. The detectives of the Special Victims Unit are called onto the scene and the investigation commences. The victim, a young woman, was found in a remote area and was unidentifiable at first. However, through the use of advanced forensic techniques, the victim was identified as a freelance journalist named Lucy Carney.

As the detectives dig deeper into the case, they find that Lucy was working on a story about a controversial radio host named Eddie Bates. Bates runs a show called "Info Wars," where he espouses extreme views on a variety of topics, ranging from politics to health care to climate change. In the end, the detectives are able to arrest Bates and his followers on a variety of charges. They are also able to bring closure to Lucy's family, who had been devastated by her death. The investigation had revealed a dark side of the internet and the power of extreme beliefs, but the detectives had been able to bring those responsible to justice.
