Detectives Olivia Benson and Amanda Rollins, along with their team, are back to solve another harrowing case in season 19 episode 2 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Titled "Mood," this episode follows the discovery of a teenage girl who has gone missing while on antidepressants.

As Benson and Rollins begin their investigation, they discover that the girl had been seeing a psychiatrist, Dr. Arlene Cole (guest star Mariska Hargitay), who has been prescribing her medication for her depressive disorder. As they dig deeper into Dr. Cole's background, they uncover a disturbing pattern of mistreatment and negligence in her practice.

Meanwhile, Benson is dealing with her own personal issues. She is struggling to come to terms with her adoption and the revelation that her birth mother was a victim of sexual assault. The case triggers her own memories of her mother's trauma and makes it difficult for her to stay objective.

As the investigation unfolds, the team discovers that the missing girl was not the only one who suffered under Dr. Cole's care. They realize that there may be more victims out there and that time is running out to save them.

Tensions rise as the detectives confront Dr. Cole, who denies any wrongdoing. However, with solid evidence against her, she is eventually forced to confess to administering the wrong medication and providing inadequate supervision for her patients.

In the end, justice prevails, and the team is able to save the missing girl and hold Dr. Cole accountable for her actions. As Benson reflects on the case and her personal struggles, she realizes that sometimes the worst experiences can also lead to healing and growth.

With powerful performances, complex characters, and gripping storytelling, "Mood" is another excellent episode in the long-running crime drama series. Fans of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will not want to miss this emotional and suspenseful installment.
