Sheriff Ironside receives a distress signal from the desert. Spark, Harry and the others step forward to carry out a search and rescue mission. The cars encounter sandstorms and a ghost in the desert. Spark and Hairpin are both caught in quicksand, and the danger grows as Spark has to deal with the desert ghost. Hairpin has a sudden breakthrough in self-belief, and rescues Spark.
