When Claire's friends and colleagues start to succeed in their respective fields and achieve their personal goals, Claire begins to feel left behind. Francine's high school mean girl, who used to make fun of Claire, is now a successful businesswoman, and even Kip, a friend from college who used to suffer from a twitch, has become a successful news anchor.

Only Claire's new coworker, Ramona, seems to be struggling in her personal and professional life, which makes her feel something like relief. However, that relief disappears when Ramona quits her job without notice and reveals she's going on a trip around the world.

Claire starts to feel stuck in her current situations and fears she's never going to be as successful as she wants to be.
