In Little Britain Episode #1.2, we are taken back to the fictional town of Little Britain, where we meet a range of quirky and eccentric characters. The episode is a mix of sketches and recurring characters, all of which are played by the show's creators, Matt Lucas and David Walliams.

The episode starts with a sketch featuring a character named Marjorie Dawes, who is the leader of a weight-loss group. Marjorie is shown spouting off various offensive and insensitive comments to her group of overweight women, all the while trying to convince them that she is helping them lose weight. The sketch ends with Marjorie being confronted by a woman who has lost weight but is unhappy with the way Marjorie has treated her.

Next, we are introduced to "Lou and Andy," a recurring sketch featuring a man named Andy and his carer, Lou. Andy is in a wheelchair and has a mental disability, and Lou takes care of him. However, Lou is not an especially good carer and often encourages Andy to do things that may not be in his best interest, such as pretending to be a doctor and diagnosing people with ridiculous ailments. The sketch is funny and heartwarming, and the two actors have an excellent rapport that makes the characters feel real and relatable.

Following the Lou and Andy sketch, we meet "Daffyd Thomas," who is known as "the only gay in the village." Daffyd is a flamboyant and melodramatic character who insists that he is the only gay person in his small Welsh village. He spends most of the episode whining about feeling ostracized and misunderstood, but we later learn that he has been living in a fantasy world and that his entire village is, in fact, made up of gay people.

The next sketch features a character named "Vicky Pollard," a rude and obnoxious teenage girl who is in trouble with the law. Vicky is being interviewed by a social worker who is trying to help her turn her life around, but Vicky is more interested in talking about her various sexual exploits and getting into trouble than actually making any changes.

Later in the episode, we meet "Emily Howard," who is a man pretending to be a woman. Emily is a recurring character who is frequently mistaken for a real woman, despite her obvious facial hair and deep voice. In this sketch, Emily is attempting to purchase a suit, but the shopkeeper keeps insisting that she should try on dresses instead. The sketch is a commentary on gender norms and the way society perceives gender.

The episode ends with a sketch featuring "Bubbles DeVere," a wealthy and eccentric woman who spends most of her time lounging around in her private pool, surrounded by hunky male servants. Bubbles is a narcissist who loves to show off her body and talk about how beautiful she is, but in this episode, we see her vulnerable side as she struggles with her weight and aging. The sketch is funny but also poignant, and it makes us empathize with a character who is usually portrayed as a shallow stereotype.

Overall, Little Britain Episode #1.2 is a hilarious and smartly written episode that showcases the range of the show's creators' talent. The sketches are diverse and tackle a range of social issues, but they never feel preachy or heavy-handed. The characters are memorable and engaging, and the show has a unique charm that makes it impossible not to fall in love with. Fans of British comedy will enjoy this show, and new viewers will undoubtedly become fans after watching this episode.
