Ep 18. Charlie & Rosa

Charlie & Rosa is the eighteenth episode of the sixth season of the television series Lucky Dog. In this episode, host Brandon McMillan works with a loving, but untrained pit bull named Charlie and his new owner, a woman named Rosa.

Charlie is a young pit bull with a friendly and affectionate personality, but he lacks proper training and can become easily distracted. He has a tendency to jump on people and pull on his leash during walks, which has made him difficult for his previous owners to manage. Despite his energetic nature, Charlie has a lot of potential to become a well-behaved and obedient companion with the right training.

Rosa is a woman who has always wanted a dog, but has never had the opportunity. Now that she has retired, she feels that the time is right to welcome a furry friend into her home. She has chosen Charlie because she believes that his loving nature will make him a perfect companion. However, Rosa is aware that she is not experienced with dog training, so she is looking forward to working with Brandon to learn how to handle Charlie properly.

Brandon begins by introducing Rosa to the basics of dog training. He teaches her how to use positive reinforcement to encourage good behavior, and how to communicate with Charlie effectively. He also instructs Rosa on how to use a clicker to reinforce positive behavior, and how to use treats as a reward for good behavior.

Once Rosa has a good understanding of the basics of dog training, Brandon begins working with Charlie on specific issues. He focuses on teaching Charlie how to walk on a leash without pulling, and how to remain calm when strangers approach. He also works on addressing Charlie's tendency to jump on people by teaching him to greet others politely.

Throughout the episode, Rosa works closely with Brandon to learn how to reinforce Charlie's good behavior and correct his bad behavior. She puts in a lot of effort to train Charlie, spending many hours working with him each day. Brandon is impressed by Rosa's commitment to her new furry friend, and sees that she has a real passion for dog training.

Finally, after several weeks of hard work, Brandon takes Charlie and Rosa to a local dog park to test their progress. Charlie walks calmly on the leash, greets other dogs in a friendly manner, and does not jump on anyone. Rosa is thrilled with Charlie's behavior, and Brandon is proud of both of them.

In the end, Rosa feels incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with Brandon and learn from his expertise. She feels that she has gained a great deal of knowledge about dog training, and is confident that she will be able to continue working with Charlie and keeping him well-behaved. Brandon is pleased to see another successful adoption, and is happy to have helped two new friends find one another.
