The Charmer is the third episode of the third season of Mark of a Killer. In this episode, the focus is on a charming and handsome man named Terry Speaks. Terry has a history of criminal behavior, having been arrested for various crimes such as forgery and drug-related charges. However, he is not considered a violent person and is often able to charm his way out of trouble.
Despite his questionable past, Terry surprises everyone when he begins dating a young woman named Jaren Lockhart. Jaren is a dancer at a local strip club and is known for her outgoing and vivacious personality. She quickly falls for Terry's charming demeanor, and the two begin a whirlwind romance.
However, things take a dark turn when Jaren disappears one night after leaving work. Her body is later found dismembered and dumped in various locations throughout the area. The local police are shocked and horrified by the gruesome crime. They immediately launch an investigation into Jaren's death, and all eyes quickly turn to Terry Speaks.
Terry tries his best to convince the police that he had nothing to do with Jaren's murder. He claims that he last saw her leaving the strip club with two mysterious men who he did not recognize. However, the evidence against him begins to mount, and it becomes clear that Terry may not be as innocent as he claims.
The police discover that Terry has a history of violence against women and that he was even caught on video tape assaulting a woman outside of a bar. They also find evidence that Terry may have been involved in the drug trade and may have been using Jaren as a way to transport drugs to and from New Orleans.
As the case against Terry builds, the police work tirelessly to gather enough evidence to charge him with Jaren's murder. And despite his charm and charisma, Terry begins to crack under the pressure. He becomes increasingly erratic and paranoid as he realizes that the police are closing in on him.
In the end, Terry is arrested and charged with Jaren's murder. He is ultimately found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. The case was a stark reminder that looks can be deceiving, and that even the most charming of individuals can be capable of committing the most heinous crimes.
