Ep 7. Aftermath

Aftermath is the seventh episode of the third season of Marvel's Daredevil. The episode picks up where the previous one left off, with Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, recovering in the convent where he was saved by Sister Maggie. He is grappling with the trauma of being buried alive and the revelation that his mother is alive and has been taking care of him.

Meanwhile, Fisk is trying to regain control of his criminal empire while putting on a façade of a reformed man. He is using Vanessa, his fiancé, as a shield against the FBI and manipulating her into doing what he wants. Meanwhile, Karen Page is trying to come to terms with her role in taking down Fisk. She feels guilty for having killed James Wesley, Fisk's right-hand man, and is going through a crisis of conscience. She confides in Foggy, who tries to reassure her that they did what they had to do to stop Fisk from hurting more people. Karen also gets a visit from her father, who is not happy with the path she has taken in her life. He thinks that she is putting herself in danger and tries to convince her to leave New York and start over somewhere else.

As the episode progresses, the tension between Fisk and the FBI agents increases. They are getting closer to finding evidence that links him to the criminal underworld, but Fisk is always one step ahead. He uses Vanessa as a pawn to manipulate them and make them believe that he is a changed man. But his façade starts to crack when he meets with the Albanian mob, who are trying to take over his operations. Fisk shows his true colors and makes it clear that he is still the kingpin of the city.

The episode ends with Matt and Foggy meeting with Brett Mahoney, a detective who has worked with them in the past. They ask for his help in taking down Fisk, but Brett is hesitant to get involved. He knows that Fisk is a dangerous man and doesn't want to risk his life. However, he agrees to help them in his own way, by gathering evidence that they can use against Fisk.

Aftermath is a tense and emotional episode that explores the aftermath of the events that have taken place so far in the season. It sets the stage for the final showdown between Daredevil and Fisk, while also delving deep into the psychological state of the characters. The performances are excellent, with Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio delivering standout performances as Matt and Fisk, respectively. The episode is a must-watch for fans of the show and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
