Ep 12. Doctor's Orders

Set in Phoenix, Arizona, Medium follows the story of Allison Dubois, a young woman with psychic abilities who works for the District Attorney's office. Using her psychic abilities, Allison is able to narrow down the search area and finds a storm drain that leads to an underground tunnel.

Allison goes to the authorities with her findings and they immediately organize a search party to investigate the tunnel. They don't find the missing boy in the tunnel, but they do find evidence that leads them to the suspect's house.

Dr. Benoit and Allison start to work on profiling the serial killer and come up with a list of potential suspects. One of the suspects is a local plumber who fits the profile. Allison decides to use her psychic abilities to get a closer look and has a vision of the plumber in his basement, surrounded by pictures of the young girls he's killed.

Allison and the authorities go to the plumber's house and are able to apprehend him before he can hurt anyone else. The episode ends with Allison feeling relieved that she was able to help save two lives in one day, but also feeling overwhelmed by the weight of her psychic abilities.
