Ep 1. Cops On The Rocks

Mike & Molly was an American sitcom created by Mark Roberts that aired on CBS from September 20, 2010, to May 16, 2016. It followed the lives of Mike Biggs, a police officer, and Molly Flynn, a school teacher, who meet at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting. The show deals with various aspects of their lives, including their relationship, their families, and their jobs.

Season 6 Episode 1, titled "Cops On The Rocks," opens with Mike and Carl, his partner, chasing down a suspect in a high-speed car chase, which ends with them crashing into a convenience store. Although they manage to catch the suspect, none of them come out unscathed, and they decide to take the rest of the day off to recuperate.

Meanwhile, Molly is preparing for her first day as a published author, with her newest book set to come out that day. She is excited about the prospects of being a successful writer and celebrates with her colleagues at the school. However, she quickly realizes that being a published author can come with some unexpected challenges, as one of her colleagues begins to act hostile towards her.

After spending some time at home, Mike and Carl decide to bond over a few drinks at a local bar. While there, they run into a group of off-duty police officers who are also enjoying a few drinks. Initially, everything seems fine between the groups, with both sides swapping stories and having a good time.

However, things soon turn ugly when the other group begins to poke fun at Mike and Carl's weight. Things escalate quickly, and soon enough, a full-blown brawl breaks out between the two groups. The police show up to break up the fight, and things only get worse from there.

Mike and Carl are taken to the police station, where they spend the night in jail. Molly, worried about Mike's safety, decides to bail him out. When he returns home, she is relieved but also upset with him for getting into such a dangerous situation.

Throughout the episode, we see the relationships between the characters evolve and grow. We see Molly come into her own as a published author, and we see Mike and Carl bond over their shared experiences as police officers. The episode is a great start to the final season, and it sets the stage for the remainder of the show's run.
