Ep 1. Series 3 Episode 1

In the first episode of Misfits season three, we see new superpowers arise amongst the group of young offenders, with the introduction of two new characters to the mix.

One of the new characters, Rudy, is a brash and overtly sexual young man who seems to have a bit of a problem controlling his powers. He has the ability to split into two separate versions of himself - one being more aggressive and impulsive, while the other tends to be more thoughtful and reserved. The other new character, Finn, is more timid and introverted, but has a strange power that allows him to manipulate dairy products.

The episode opens with the group having been stranded in a time-loop for several weeks, and they are all beginning to lose their minds. Amidst the chaos and confusion, they stumble across a mysterious woman who seems to know a thing or two about the time-loop that they are stuck in. She gives them a series of cryptic clues that lead them to believe that they need to find someone with the power to rewind time in order to break the loop.

As they begin their search, they come across a strange man who has the ability to erase people's memories. They realise that this could be the key to breaking the time-loop, and set out to convince the man to use his powers on them.

Meanwhile, we see the new characters struggle to fit in with the group, and we watch as they begin to form their own connections with each other. Finn is particularly smitten with the group's resident bad-ass, Kelly, and spends much of the episode trying to impress her.

As the episode progresses, we see the group uncover some uncomfortable truths about the time-loop that they are trapped in, and it soon becomes clear that breaking free is not going to be as simple as erasing a few memories.

The episode ends on a cliff-hanger, with the group faced with a difficult decision that will have major consequences for their future. It sets the tone for the rest of the season, which promises to be full of the usual misadventures, mayhem, and superpowers that we have come to love from Misfits.
