The scientists see this as a threat and decide to take matters into their own hands.
Throughout the episode, we see the classic snarky humor of Mystery Science Theater 3000 as Joel and his robot pals, Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot, make witty comments and observations about the cheesy special effects and questionable plot points. They even create a hilarious song about the film's dinosaur antagonist.
The episode also features the infamous "short," "X Marks The Spot," where a group of hapless square-dancers attempt to teach a group of teenagers how to properly square dance. The crew's commentary on this short is both hilarious and cringe-worthy.
