Ep 3. Another Idiot Has Come!!

NANBAKA season 1 episode 3, "Another Idiot Has Come!!" follows the antics of four notorious prisoners who are incarcerated at prison number 13, known as Nanba Prison. The warden, along with his guards, does his best to keep control of the eccentric and mischievous inmates.

In this episode, a new inmate named Kenshirou Yozakura arrives at Nanba Prison saying that he has come to challenge Jyugo, one of the notorious prisoners. Jyugo is intrigued by Kenshirou's confidence and accepts his challenge. However, Jyugo's friends, Rock, Uno, and Nico, suspect that there's more to Kenshirou's agenda than just a simple challenge.

The warden is not happy about this as he fears that it could lead to a break-in or a break-out. He decides to conduct a test to see which guard can take on the most prisoners at once.

Back to Jyugo and Kenshirou, the two of them engage in a battle where Kenshirou unleashes his special attack. Jyugo is unable to dodge the attack and is sent flying. Kenshirou declares himself as the winner of the battle and challenges Jyugo to a rematch.

After the battle, Kenshirou reveals to Jyugo that his real motivation for coming to Nanba Prison is to find someone who has the Nanba Prison tattoo. He believes that the person with that tattoo is responsible for the death of his younger brother. Jyugo tells Kenshirou that he doesn't know anything about that tattoo, but Kenshirou refuses to believe him.

Meanwhile, the warden begins the test to see which guard can take on the most prisoners at once. The guards all perform exceptionally well, but in the end, it is revealed that the warden had rigged the test. He tells the guards that he won't be reducing their numbers, and they all celebrate.

Back to Jyugo and Kenshirou, Jyugo admits to having the Nanba Prison tattoo and tells Kenshirou that he got it during a fight with Hajime, one of the guards. Kenshirou is shocked to hear this and wonders why Jyugo would fight with a guard. Jyugo tells Kenshirou that Hajime is different from the other guards and that he's a good guy.

The episode ends with Kenshirou approaching Hajime and asking him about the Nanba Prison tattoo. Hajime tells him that it's a symbol of their friendship and that he gave it to Jyugo as a token of their bond. Kenshirou is left confused and unsure of what to do next.
