Ep 8. Awakening Poison

At the start of the episode, the prisoners of Nanba Prison are taken aback by Miko's continued rampage at the facility. Hajime steps forward to face her, but his attacks are rendered useless against her immense power. Soon, the prisoners are caught in the crossfire as Miko unleashes waves of poison gas. However, Uno is able to come up with a plan to stop the gas, using his gambling abilities to deduce Miko's patterns.

Meanwhile, Jyugo and Ruka continue their fight against Kiji, who proves to be a formidable opponent. As they battle, Kiji reflects on his own past and how his life has been shaped by his upbringing. In a surprising turn of events, he offers to help Jyugo and Ruka escape in exchange for information on the secrets behind Nanba Prison.

Back in the prison, Hajime uses all his strength to subdue Miko, but he is ultimately overcome. Just as things seem their bleakest, Tsukumo manages to wake up from his coma, having finally found the strength to break free from his inner turmoil. With his newfound power, Tsukumo is able to bring Miko to her senses and put a stop to her rampage.

As the episode winds down, the prisoners are left to reflect on the events that have transpired. Though they have suffered greatly, they are reminded of the bonds that unite them and the hope that they can one day break free from the confines of Nanba Prison.
