Naoki Urasawa's Monster Season 1 Episode 14 Left Behind

After escaping from the hotel where Roberto had held him captive, Tenma seeks out Eva Heinemann for information about Johan. Meanwhile, Lunge continues his investigation and discovers that Roberto has been posing as Dr. Mueller, a renowned neurosurgeon whose life Roberto had taken years before. With this information, Lunge theorizes that Roberto may be impersonating other people as well.

As Tenma and Eva discuss Johan and his past, they are interrupted by the arrival of Dieter, the boy whom Tenma had saved from Johan's clutches earlier in the series. Dieter is now living with Eva and wants to help find Johan as well. He provides a small clue that leads Tenma to a library where he encounters a homeless man who claims to know something about Johan.

Meanwhile, Roberto is busy framing Tenma for the murders of the private detective and the journalist, making it look like Tenma is seeking to cover up his past crimes. Lunge falls for the trap and becomes convinced that Tenma is behind the killings. Eva, who has been keeping an eye on Lunge's investigation, realizes that they need to act fast to clear Tenma's name and find Johan before it's too late.

The episodes ends with Tenma being left behind, as everyone he's turned to for help seems to be turning against him. Alone and without any leads, he must find a way to prove his innocence and uncover the truth about Johan's past.
