Inspector Lunge arrives at the Red Rose Mansion after finding a hint in a picture book. Afterwards, he meets with Captainl Lanke, a leader of the former Czechoslovakian secret police. Who is picture-book writer and owner of the mansion, Franz Bonaparta, and what happened in the Red Rose Mansion? As he did with Tenma, Captainl Lanke tells Lunge that he knows nothing. Meanwhile, Tenma has been secretly surrounded by the Czech police.
