As she and the other children make their way through the woods, they encounter a mysterious man who tells them that they must face the "demon lord" in order to prove themselves as holy warriors. Kamome and the other children are terrified, but they know that they must press on if they want to honor their commitment to each other.

They soon come to a clearing, where they find the demon lord waiting for them. In a dazzling display of bravery and skill, the children engage the demon lord in battle, each using their own unique abilities to attack him. Kamome, using the strength of her faith in Maromi, is able to deliver the final blow to the demon lord and defeat him.

As the children bask in their victory, Kamome realizes that the sense of belonging and acceptance that she has found with them is what truly makes her happy. She decides to return home, but promises to always remember the experience and carry it with her in her heart.
