Ep 16. Galentine's Day

On this episode of Parks & Recreation, Leslie Knope, the Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation in Pawnee, Indiana, decides to host a ladies-only brunch on the day before Valentine's Day called "Galentine's Day."

Leslie invites all of her female friends, including Ann Perkins, her best friend and nurse, Donna Meagle, an employee at the Parks and Recreation department, and Tom Haverford's ex-wife, Wendy. She even extends the invitation to her mother, Marlene.

However, things don't go as planned when Marlene shows up with a male friend. Leslie initially tries to exclude him, but decides to let him stay after realizing that he's actually pretty great.

Meanwhile, Tom Haverford, an employee in the Parks and Recreation department, is upset about being single on Valentine's Day and decides to throw a party at the local club, The Snakehole Lounge. He invites all of his male friends, including Mark Brendanawicz, Ann's ex-boyfriend, and Ron Swanson, Leslie's boss and the Head of the Parks and Recreation department.

As the two parties collide, Leslie and her friends realize that they don't need men to have a good time and celebrate friendship. They decide to join Tom's party at The Snakehole Lounge and have a wild and crazy night.

Throughout the episode, the characters discuss their views on relationships and love. Ann is still healing from her breakup with Mark and is unsure about getting into another relationship. Donna is happily single and enjoying her freedom. Wendy is trying to move on from her divorce with Tom and is interested in dating again. And Leslie is still in love with her co-worker, Ben Wyatt, but is uncertain about how to pursue a relationship with him.

In the end, Galentine's Day proves to be a success and the characters reaffirm the importance of friendship and love in their lives.
